A great plan is only the beginning
Our role continues even after we design your space. We will also work with your contractor(s) to confirm the project’s budget and scope. If you don't already have a contractor, we have a stable of choices we can suggest. Even after contract documents are drawn up we remain your fiduciary, assisting you in working with your builder.
Our Approach
At Apple Design, we’re passionate about the art of design but our primary purpose is to help make your dreams a reality. Unusual projects are welcome. But even the most basic project is worthy of our attention. We are extremely flexible to meet your individual tastes.

About Ken Apple
An East Tennessee native, Ken got his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee. Ken then took an internship at the prestigious firm of John Portman & Associates in Atlanta, Georgia where he then became the CAD training for their full stable of designers.
After several years with John Portman, Ken leveraged his knowledge of real estate and architecture to build a small empire of retail stores, including seven locations, two distribution centers, and more than eighty employees.
Eventually, changes with family lead Ken to return to Knoxville where we started Apple Design Company as an independent architect, focusing on project design, development, and management.
